This
underwater themed mural was commissioned for a baby girls nursery in
Prestwich. It was intended to be a big, bold, vibrant piece that
wouldn't be too overpowering in a small room.
The corals that provided
the border for the piece were blended into the existing room wall colour
to help with the toning down of the mural and to keep it from being too
busy in the room. Then other corals were overlapped to prevent it from
becoming a hard framework.
Small details were added to
provide a practical use like the measuring tool in the red coral on the
right and other small details were applied around the room such as the
snail and the shrimp to add an element of fun.
